June UPDATE: Big Rock Library is open with new temporary hours Monday 12-6 PM. Thursday 10-6 PM. Saturday 10-3 PM.
We look a little different. All patrons and visitors are required to wear a mask unless you are fully vaccinated. We have a sneeze screen, pens you can keep or deposit into the used pen box at the desk. We have hand sanitizer. The patron computer keyboard is covered with a transparent washable skin. Upstairs is closed, unless you schedule a visit.
Summer Reading has begun, Reading Colors Your World.
We offer 3 Reading groups, "Read to Me" for infants thru preschool/kindergarten. Elementary-Middle School for Grades 1-8. High School students and adults. All reading levels have a reading log. Prizes will be available. Stop by the Library to sign up (Library cards are required).
We are open if you will be needing a new book(s). Or Patrons can check the the catalog on line and we will set aside for when you come in. You can build book lists, Book Bins. Curbside delivery is still available. Just email info@bigrocklibrary.org, or phone the Library 630-556-3604. You will need to provide a list of what books or other materials you would like along with your phone number. You can expect a return call to arrange a time for pickup. Your materials can either be brought to your car for contactless delivery or you can pick them up from the porch delivery box.

ResourceMate, the company that handles the library data, has the Big Rock Library catalog on line. (Yes, we do buy new books each month). You will be allowed to put books on hold and request to renew things you have already checked out. This is a giant leap for us. Now you can log in online at your convenience to check for materials. We want the library to be available to you wherever you are. PLEASE RETURN ALL BOOK RETURNS to the Parking Lot Book drop.
The Library is sad that the Interlibrary Loan not being available. We look forward the it's return.

This Saturday afternoon event promises to be an interactive experience that you'll remember, Kids are still talking about the 2019 exploding film canisters family science fun event.

Special Event - Dan Gogh's Magical Color Zoo Art & Magic Show. Artist Dan Gogh has recorded a custom show for us that includes art, magic puppets and lots of fun. Also included with the presentation and available to attendees are three prerecorded drawing workshops and five fun activity sheets.
